New missions for Hornet Korea (by Kerrie Reay)

Harbour Shot

This is a more complicated version of 'Up The Creek!' Watch out for more interceptors,
and for secondaries in the harbour. The mission objective is simple - foil the unloading
operations. If you succeed, and the B-52 raid later this morning succeeds in sinking the
ships, then the North's drive to nuclear supremacy will be ended
(for the time being, at least!)

THERE IS A LOT GOING ON - WATCH THE ACTION USING 'SHIFT 5' FOR THE FRIENDLIES,
AND 'SHIFT 6' FOR THE ENEMY!

Friendly:
F/A-18C x 3 (FA18-00/01/02)
F-14D x 2 (F14D-00/01)
F-16C x 1 (F16C-00)
B-2A x 2 (B2AA-00/01)
B-52G x 1 (B52G-00)
E-2C x 1 (E2CA-00)

Enemy:
Su-27 x 5 (SU27-00/01/02/03/04)
Tu-20 x 1 (TU20-00)

Yes, there are 16 of them, not to mention the helicopters. There are also a profusion
of SAM's near the target. You may be able to avoid the SAM's though - keep to the
waypoints, and stay LOW.
Try using the cheat codes and fly them all! (One at a time, of course.) You cannot
fly the choppers.

Bottom Of The Harbour

This is a follow up from 'Harbour Shot'. You have to ensure that 4 B-52's reach the
harbour and bomb the ships, putting the North back at least 6 months in their
nuclear program.

Your intelligence from the raid earlier this morning means that the SAM sites are known,
but there is still danger from fresh Su-27's and pilots ferried in overnight.

Do whatever you can to stop the Flankers reaching the B-52's. Two F-14's, an F-16 and
Hornet 3 will be probing north of Dongducheon in an attempt to catch the Su-27's - it is
almost certain that they will attempt to reach the harbour to protect the ships - but
they are not expected to stop them all. Take Hornet 2 to waypoint 2 to escort the
B-52's - they should be there in around 15 minutes, at around 9,000' bALT. There are a
number of helicopters moving around the area, but they can be left alone - they are not
a threat to the Buff's. Don't be diverted from your mission, and make sure that Hornet 2
sticks with you - you just might need him. The SAM sites are all manned by experienced
personnel, and if you stray away from your course they could easily catch you out.

Friendly:
F/A-18C x 3
F-14D x 2
F-16C x 1
B-52G x 4

Enemy:
Su-27 x 5
MiG-23 x 1

There are plenty of helicopters around as well - both friendly and enemy.

*******

Up The Creek! replay included - you have to fly low to get through without being spiked!
Harbour shot will be more difficult, but I don't have a replay yet.....

Have fun, Kerrie Reay, kerrie_rea@antdiv.gov.au.
